開心收到這個有趣的題目,看完腦袋冒出幾個想法。
· 以前看設計時有個叫故事島的專輯,其內容是作曲者到台灣各地感受然後編曲產出;我原本以為她是到各地錄音,然後用這些素材編曲成專輯,但並非如此,哈哈哈
· 去北京逛了很多祭祀場所,其中皇穹宇的聲學應用讓我想到一些服裝上可能可以參考的元素,以下為谷歌對皇穹宇的說明:正殿和配殿都被一堵圓形圍牆環繞,牆高3.72米,直徑61.5米,周長193.2米。內側牆壁由磨磚對縫砌成,弧度規則,牆面平整光潔,能夠有規則地傳遞聲波,而且回音悠長,故稱「回音壁」。另外,在皇穹宇殿前到大門中間的石板路上,由北向南的三塊石板叫做三音石。在皇穹宇門窗關閉而且附近沒有障礙物的情況下,站立於第一塊石板上擊掌,可聽到回音一聲;於第二塊石板上擊掌,可聽到回音兩聲;於第三塊石板上擊掌,可聽到回音三聲。此外,還有被稱為「對話石」的聲學現象——在石板路由南向北第三塊石板上的人,可與位於東配殿東北角(或西配殿西北角)的人對話,兩人雖距離較遠,且隔著配殿,但對話異常清晰。
· 你的訊息中總讓我想到地海故事集的巫師,可能因為這個小說的巫師都很貼近自然、都像是探求某種真理在知識的大道上緩步前行,我想如果聲音藝術家能實地行走於充滿聲音的自然中追尋創作的道,其背影一定有某種程度的相似吧。
· 在想這個題目的時候,我在想錄音者會是什麼樣的角色呢?是加入環境還是抽離環境?我的假設是不介入環境的聲音巫師!
所以需要的有
gore Tex 防水表層絨布內裏靜音袍 在台灣即將到來的梅雨季錄音,我想防水透氣是很重要的,用袍子的形式是因為張愛玲說「生命是一襲華美的袍,長滿了蝨子。」 哈哈哈哈開玩笑的,其實是為了吸掉人體移動時摩擦的聲音
頭戴錄音籠 一個類似笠帽但像「收音網罩」的東西,很像一個逆向的麥克風保護罩或音波收集器。像是共振音網,能捕捉空氣中飄散的聲波(參考一下皇穹宇)
耳機
手持伸縮定向收音法杖 就像麥克風一樣,不只是收音,更像是聲音的權杖。
鈴 有時若需要聲音「被發聲」,可能需要一個鈴,誘導聲音發生。
一個降噪系統 可過濾雜音
聲音巫師自己的聲音 雖然我想聲音巫師應該會更傾向於聆聽,但如果把自己也加入這場實地錄音計劃,我想腳步聲會是一個很好的元素。
以上是我睡前的胡思亂想,草圖的話,我想我禮拜五5/9 pm12:00前應該可以畫一下會比文字具象,期待妳的計畫實行! 祝 好夢

I'm happy to receive this fascinating prompt — it immediately stirred up a few thoughts in my mind.
· I once encountered an album called Story Island while studying design. The composer traveled around Taiwan and created compositions inspired by her impressions of each place. I had originally assumed she was field recording across different locations and using those materials for the album — but that wasn’t the case, haha!
· During a trip to Beijing, I visited many ritual sites. One of them, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, had an acoustic structure that made me think of possible clothing elements. Here’s how Google describes it:
The main hall and its annexes are enclosed by a perfectly circular wall — 3.72 meters high, 61.5 meters in diameter, with a circumference of 193.2 meters. The inner side of the wall is built from tightly joined, polished bricks with a smooth curvature, allowing sound to travel in a uniform way and producing a long-lasting echo. Hence, it's called the “Echo Wall.”
On the stone path leading from the hall to the gate, there are three special slabs known as the “Three Echo Stones.” Under ideal conditions — when the doors are shut and the space is free of obstacles — a single clap on the first stone echoes once; on the second, twice; on the third, three times.
There is also an acoustic phenomenon called the “Whispering Stones” — a person standing on the third slab (from south to north) can converse with someone standing at the northeast corner of the east annex (or the northwest corner of the west annex). Despite the distance and the building in between, their voices are remarkably clear.
· Your message reminds me of the wizards in The Earthsea Cycle. Maybe it's because the wizards in those stories are always close to nature, walking slowly and deliberately along a path of knowledge, seeking a deeper truth. I imagine a sound artist, journeying through the natural world filled with sounds in search of creation, would share a similar silhouette.
· While thinking about this prompt, I found myself wondering: what kind of role does a recordist play? Do they blend into the environment, or remain apart from it? My thought: they are a sound wizard — one who doesn’t intervene.
So the sound wizard would need:
A Gore-Tex waterproof cloak with a velvet-lined interior To record in Taiwan’s upcoming plum rain season, waterproof and breathable fabric is essential. The cloak absorbs the friction sounds of bodily movement. (And yes — inspired by Eileen Chang’s line, “Life is a splendid robe crawling with lice.” Just kidding — but kind of not.)
A head-mounted recording cage Something like a straw hat fused with a microphone windshield — reversed. It functions as a resonant sound net, capable of catching drifting sonic particles in the air (think: Echo Wall).
Headphones
A telescoping directional recording staff Not just a microphone — more like a staff of sonic authority, a wand of sound.
A bell Sometimes, when a sound needs to be invited, a bell might do the job — to provoke a sonic response.
A noise-filtering system To sift out unnecessary noise.
The sound wizard’s own sound Although I imagine a sound wizard as primarily a listener, if they do participate in the field recording with their body, then the sound of their footsteps would be a wonderful element to include.
These are just my sleepy musings. I think I’ll be able to sketch a visual version of this before Friday 5/9 at noon — something more concrete than words. I'm looking forward to seeing your project take shape!

嗨,嫀宜 約定的時間到了,我來繳圖 原本只是想稍微畫一下,結果越畫越細
以下是關於畫的些許補充: 剛好我家在很多聲音的鄉下,如果要選一個時刻錄音,我想天光剛起的時刻會是一個不錯的選擇, 或是夏夜也很精采,水稻田裡的蛙鳴、不同的鳥叫聲,或低鳴或清脆、蟋蟀的聲音、風吹過來水稻葉子摩擦的窸窣聲, 但我還是選了凌晨作為圖的背景,因為服裝比較好看清楚。
肚子的那個裝置是可以控制各種聲音的裝置, 之前看了 amit pitaru 的 Sonic Wire Sculptor 就覺得所有的 midi 控制盤或聲音的實體控制介面應該長成這樣, 一個圓盤,讓創作者更自由、更好的控制所有音軌。
耳後的裝置可以擴展人類耳廓,可以提供更好的收集聲波。
腳踩木屐、我喜歡木頭厚重的咚咚聲,穿太久腳會爆痛, 可以想要添加創作者在場證明時再穿。
觀觀聽起來很有氣質很佛系 我覺得是剛認識的美好幻象 希望這個名字能在你心中停留久一點 XD

Hi Qin Yi, The time we agreed on has arrived—I'm here to turn in my drawing. I originally just wanted to sketch a little, but I ended up getting more and more detailed as I went.
Here are a few notes about the drawing: I happen to live in a rural area filled with many sounds. If I had to choose one moment for recording, I think the time just before dawn would be a great option. Summer nights are also quite wonderful— the chorus of frogs in the rice fields, various bird calls, whether low or crisp, the sound of crickets, and the rustling of rice leaves as the wind blows through. But I still chose early morning as the background for the drawing, because the outfit is easier to see that way.
The device on the stomach is meant to control various sounds. After watching Sonic Wire Sculptor by Amit Pitaru, I felt that all MIDI controllers or physical sound interfaces should look like that— a circular disc that allows the creator to control all the tracks more freely and expressively.
The device behind the ears extends the human auricle, helping to collect sound waves more effectively.
As for the wooden clogs— I love the deep, heavy “thump thump” sound of wood. They hurt a lot if worn too long, so maybe I’d only wear them when I want to make sure the presence of the creator is felt.
Guan Guan sounds so refined and Zen-like. I think it’s one of those beautiful illusions when first getting to know someone. Still, I hope the name lingers a little longer in your heart. XD
