Echoed Margins

The Ideal Field Recording is a State

The ideal field recording is grey—highly transparent, easy to float and blend.

I wish to erase my obsession with stark black and white; any shade of grey can be this moment, and also the elsewhere.

Bring along a pickup, use it to sense the current, letting it freely transform into sonic signals.

With a pair of resilient shoes—so that stillness is not to be feared, and in motion, one may hear the resonance between self and texture.

The soles rub against gravel, mud, or other unnamable matter—I am captivated by such sonic traces.

When I pause, I shall gradually become subtle, no longer emitting any noise.

When I walk, I inevitably become an intruder—may I do so with humility and sincerity.

Continually polish my flowing senses and open ears.

There is no rush to become a singer.
