Q1. 浪漫的富岡漁港怎麼串成的呢？
How was the romantic Fugang Fishing Port formed?

收到妳的訊息時我正在前往布魯塞爾的火車上，剛好也是來荷蘭生活這段期間氣溫最高的一天，28度，已經可以與台灣的炎熱共感。
I received your message while I was on a train heading to Brussels. It happened to be the hottest day since I arrived in the Netherlands—28 degrees—finally a temperature I can resonate with, just like the heat in Taiwan.

這首無意間做出來的 meme 回想起富岡是疫情期間，駐村的台東美術館都沒有人，記得很清楚因為環境噪音相對低，每天早上都被台東空軍志航基地的戰機演練吵醒，還要一個人在美術館面臨強颱登陸。
This accidental meme reminded me of Fugang during the pandemic. The Taitung Art Museum, where I was in residence, was empty. I remember it vividly because the ambient noise was relatively low. Every morning, I was jolted awake by military jet drills from the Taitung Air Base, and I had to face a typhoon alone in the museum.

總一個人騎摩托車到處閒晃，帶著錄音器材去各海邊。
I often rode my scooter alone, wandering aimlessly and bringing my recording equipment to various coastlines.

那天剛好與台東朋友開車晃到富岡，漁港阿姨正在收拾早市剩下的魚貨，看到我明顯是外地來的就閒聊起來。
That day, I happened to go for a drive with a friend from Taitung and ended up in Fugang. At the fishing port, an auntie was cleaning up leftover fish from the morning market. Noticing I was clearly an outsider, she started chatting with me.

疫情期間各行業都有未來發展焦慮，漁港缺觀光人潮只有當地人採購、加上高齡化年輕人出走、富岡也跟我小時候與家人前往的映像不太一樣，總覺得長大很多地點都縮水的感覺。
During the pandemic, every industry was filled with uncertainty about the future. The fishing port lacked tourists, serving only local buyers. With an aging population and younger people leaving, Fugang was no longer the place I remembered visiting with my family as a child. Growing up, many places start to feel like they've shrunk.

在台東兩個月生活加上疫情 BPM 特別慢，所幸就把 Fishmans 翻出來騎摩托車的時候聽，
Living in Taitung for two months during the slow-motion BPM of the pandemic, I fortunately rediscovered Fishmans and listened to them while riding my scooter.

那時候在做香港聯合電台 HKCR 的 radio 剛好開始第一集 The City Of Lost Children，想做幽默又有點低級浪漫帶入實地旅程的 mixtape，
At the time, I was producing a show for Hong Kong Community Radio (HKCR), and the first episode was called The City of Lost Children. I wanted to create a mixtape that was humorous, slightly lowbrow-romantic, and grounded in real-world journeys.

所以試很多自己稱為田調 BGM 的東西——想著自己在台東騎車怎麼聽音樂怎麼聽人說話的邏輯，
So I experimented with a lot of what I called "fieldwork BGM"—thinking about how I listen to music and people's voices while riding in Taitung.

旅途上左右耳總會有海浪的聲音所以就把 Fishmans 跟台灣漁港阿姨一起實驗反差萌，
On the road, there was always the sound of ocean waves in my ears, so I paired Fishmans with the voice of the Taiwanese fishing port auntie—an experiment in unexpected contrast and charm.

沒想到這個幽默大家很有共鳴真是太好了，換作在別個語言地區這個幽默就完全不存在。
I didn’t expect this kind of humor to resonate so well with others—it’s wonderful. In another linguistic region, this humor probably wouldn’t exist at all.
